I have taken a 2 day stop over in Dubai while coming back to USA in April 2010. I booked my flight on Emirates. Emirates will sponsor my visa. But i am not sure now they allow Advance Parole as when i apply for visa one of the requirements says "Travel documents, such as re-entry permits and refugee documents are not permitted"

Hello,

I am from India and currently visiting USA on B2 visa. I recently got a job with a very reputed firm in US and applied for an H1B but my application reached USCIS after the H1B quota was full.

I really want to work for my new employer and would like to know what other options do I have to obtain work permit in USA other than L1 Visa?

If it is a non profit research org or institute of higher education then H1 will not be counted towards quota. On the other hand if you have the credentials you can try for "O" VISA

Hi,

My I-485 case was approved on 7/23, got approval letter on 7/30.

In August I got the Code 3 Biometrics letter and now I got it for Code 2. Two Biometrics appointment within a month!

Does this usually happen? No CPO e-mails or card yet!

We should think of starting this thread to organize bus rides from Texas. If we use U.S. Coachways, which is in most major cities, we could potentially have buses leave from the major metros (Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Austin) or two or more buses leaving Houston and San Antonio in the south and picking up more people as they make their way north to Dallas and Austin. Beyond Texas, the buses could also pick people up in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, etc, or other states depending on the routes. Hi,

I Lost my I797A (but having photo copy) . I want to go to my Home country on emergency for 2 weeks and return to US.

Will I get visa stamping with

1. Copy of I797A and Employee's related documents ?
2. Copy of I797A and Employee's related documents + Proof of Duplication Request ?
3. Whether Duplication form (I-824) Should be separately filed for L1 & L2 ?

Please guide me Immediately.

Yes, the AP is valid for one year and for as many visits as you want. Same thing happened with me. You can travel again with the stamped AP.

Will I qualify for 3 year H1 extension based on my approved I-140 .?

Hello All,
I am stuck in a very painful scenario right now. I am working on F1-OPT which ends on Feb 5th 2011 and have a pending H1-B application under premium processing. The thing is my employer says that they will terminate me on Feb 4th and cannot guarantee a rehiring even if H1-B is approved.
My employer needs to know if there is something (legal) like temporary termination and rehiring ? If yes then what does the employer need to do to rehire. And is there any documentation about this. My employer wants to check this documentation before reconsidering.
Any inputs would be appreciated.
