Who are the Beatles?
I listened to some previews in iTunes and it just sounds like some old, dusty kind of annoying quasi-hippy stuff.
They are the foundation of everything in the pop & rock world with a reach way outside of just pop & rock. Like Zepplin or Pink Floyd? You like the Beatles. Like Coldplay or Eminem or Devil Wears Prada or Pat Metheny or whatever ... you like the Beatles.

So why did they use an external wireless card? The only reasonable explanation is that whatever they did doesn't work with the built-in airport.
Yes, this had certainly occurred to me, and I think it's a fair guess. But I don't think I'd gallop off to "this is a total non-issue" from here. That's all I'm saying. Again, not panicked, but I think this should be pursued in the long term. There is a valid point in that the "seeking a network" activity of wifi cards in general offers a potential vector for exploits.

Honestly, I do think it is within the power of the Commander in Chief to go to war within the 60 days. Everyone always gets into a power-hungry fit whenever it happens, but I think it is quite clear that the President has those 60 days.
Whether we should be in Libya or not, I really don't think so. Meddling with that area of the world has proven costly before, and I do think it is a big waste of money. But electing someone who thinks that discrimination is a right among small businesses, and that the department of education should be cut, is totally moving backwards as a society IMO.

None of these "parts of black culture" are unique to blacks, nor are they fundamentally identified with blacks only. Furthermore, I have never suggested that black people have no responsibility to be productive, law-abiding citizens. However, the suggestion that blacks can somehow gain equality with whites just by "getting their act together" is totally fallacious.
Well they can certainly gain equality with me by getting their act together, anyone can. I judge people individually based on their behavior .
I frequently work with plenty of black students (of African American, and African dissent) they're damn smart and they work damn hard. In fact they're exactly like your or I (in case that isn't obvious ).
Are they're plenty of racists out there? Your right there are. Are there plenty of people out there who aren't racist and yet it is blatantly obvious to them that they're are some serious problems in black communities and with black culture, (problems which go well beyond poverty and lack of education) guess what there are plenty of those as well.
Also how on earth do you imagine that a number of the problems aren't highly specific to the black community?? You must have your head so far down the whole of destructive political correctness you can't see daylight
No other community takes pride in producing "baby mamas" and propagates the idea (in music and other media) that begetting women with children (regardless of one's commitment to the situation or financial readiness) is a good idea.
No other community has developed a racial dialect which is so improper that anyone who speaks it sounds totally un-educated. I go to school with quite a few black student's who are very intelligent, work very hard, and speak like un-educated hooligans. Your fooling yourself if you can't recognize the fact that failing to speak passable English is a serious dis-advantage if your searching for work or internships.
Now if you continue to refuse to recognize that there are serious cultural differences between the black communities in the United States and other communities lets look at some other numbers.
The percentage of children born out of wedlock is 41% according to the cdc.
http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/unmarry.htm
Black children are born out of wedlock 72% of the time, 31% more frequently than the average.
Hispanic children on the other hand are born out of wedlock 51% of the time only 10% more often than the average.
http://articles.cnn.com/2009-04-08/living/out.of.wedlock.births_1_out-of-wedlock-unwed-mothers-wedding-dress/2?_s=PM:LIVING
But wait, if your willing to believe Wikipedia Hispanics as a demographic group are the POOREST racial demographic group in this country.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personal_income_in_the_United_States
Poorer on average than black citizens, yet despite that dis-advantage Hispanics manage to stay several standard deviations nearer the national average than the black community.
I'll say it again there are serious cultural problems within the black community/culture, problems unique to African Americans. Your not doing anyone favors by refusing to acknowledge these problems. Are there external forces which make it more difficult for blacks in the United States (and other western nations) to advance simply because of their race? You betcha . Are there major problems within the black community and black culture that make it hard for blacks in the west to advance? Absolutely.
Is it possible that those internal problems are equally or more significant than external barriers? In my opinion some of the evidence I've looked at suggests this.
This all suggests to me that as a nation we wouldn't be remiss if we started considering ways to confront these internal issues rather than assuming the most important factors are always external, and un-related to the affected community.

Only specific Radio Shack's are selling them, and fast.
Most of them can take your number and call you when they are placing more orders.
They will call you and ask for you to either come to the store now and pay or pay at the store when the iPad comes in. If you pay in advance they will ship the iPad to your door. It would take 2-3 days for delivery, faster than Apple's website.

A child does not naturally grow up to be socially responsible or kind. They naturally grow up to be self-centered and violent unless a parent or authority teaches them otherwise.
As negative as I think religion can be, it has set a code of conduct for people that enables cooperation and empathy for others. Although we don't need religion to teach people morals, we need some agreed upon code of conduct.
You might say that the laws of a country serve that purpose, but they don't. They are simply rules everyone must follow and any despotic ruler can set awful laws that can hurt people. Therefore, the code of conduct has to be separate from the law.
If atheism has any future, its needs some type of unified, agreed upon code.

When they come out and we both buy one, can we have a little MacRumours party topic? We can dance all night long! ;)

i hope the eventually come out with the macpod concept featured in icreate and also on one of these pages. this would be great and i think that is is a better solution to the screen realestate issue because i know that the finger prints on my psp are anoying and if you are to be constantly scrolling in a circle on this new ipod it would only take a little dirt on the screen to create a permanent "scratch" wheel on your screen and thats about a anoying as watching drawn together through a scratched agent 18 case on a ipod with video.

Guys and Girls,
That clearly is not a Black Macbook Pro there, unless there coming out with 13.3 inch Macbook Pro's then it is a Macbook. This could mean that we will be seeing an upgraded Macbook (Pro / Non) introduced monday most likely with the Core 2 Duo mobile. Also, in the picture, it really looks like it has a backlit keyboard. If it does, I will be waiting for that to ship before I buy my Macbook.

I would imagine just using your dock plugged into a wall anywhere in the house while your device gets updated - or maybe the new devices will use some sort of Induction Charge and just lay it down on the mat and it will charge and also sync/update wirelessly.
so i can sync over wifi, which is going to be slow as hell, and i still have to keep my device on a charging pad or in a dock? Why wouldn't i just plug it into the damn computer to speed up the process?

BEST BUY ARE BASTARDS!!!!
Truer words were never written. But that's been true for a long time. Long before the iPad ever existed. They're masters at the bait and switch. They excel at mediocrity in customer service. They've perfected the art of hiring blowhard sales people who will tell you with conviction things I know aren't true before I even walk into the store. They use marketing techniques that border on the illegal, and reek with sleaziness. They build mega-superstores filled with 89% junk, and small pockets of quality products that you have to mine to find. And they strive for the unwarranted up sell and add-on.
Here's everything you need to know about Best Buy: When they were selling 6 foot HDMI cables for $70, claiming that it cost that much to produce them, I bought a 50 footer on-line for $75. And yes it's still working, five years later. Before anyone jumps on Monster for the overpricing, my on-line distributor told me at the time that he could buy the same Monster cable that BB was selling at $70 for $24. Still too much, for sure. But assuming that BB gets even better volume pricing than him, they were selling it for at least a 200% markup.
Rant complete. I feel better now... :D

I could type up a bunch of stuff, but this website (http://www.godandscience.org/apologetics/triunity.html) does a good job of covering all the bases regarding our difference of opinion on this matter. Here's two quick excerpts:.The link you give contains:
The Hebrew word translated "God" is the word El or Elohim. Elohim is the plural form of El. The plural form is used 2607 of the 2845 times the word "God" is used in the Old Testament. Not only is the word for God usually used in the plural form, but several verses refer to God as "Us":
• Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." (Genesis 1:26)
• Then the LORD God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, lest he stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever"-- (Genesis 3:22)
• "Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." (Genesis 11:7)
• Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I. Send me!" (Isaiah 6:8)
An example of how the Hebrew word Elohim is used in the plural is that it is translated "gods" (referring to idols) 235 times in the Old Testament. It is exactly the same word that is translated "God," referring to the Almighty. An example is given below:
"I am the LORD your God [Elohim], who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. "You shall have no other gods [Elohim] before Me. (Exodus 20:2-3)This seems far more likely to be referring to a literal plurality of gods than some revisionist gestalt. Occam's Razor would come down on the side of plain old-fashioned polytheism every single time.
As for this:
Finally, there are a number of verses in the Old Testament in which the triunity of God is directly expressed:
• Who has ascended into heaven and descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has wrapped the waters in His garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name or His Son's name? Surely you know! (Proverbs 30:4)Yes, we do know his son's name: it was Baal. Every Canaanite knew that.

Hey apple, My wife will say no too (as soon as you decide to launch it here) :D

Mar 23, 08:10 AM
Eh, you misunderstood me. The main point I was making is that the wife should not be able to prevent such a purchase IF THEY CAN AFFORD IT. In many cases, money itself is not an issue in such a purchase, as the wife would not blink twice in spending that amount on something SHE wants. My point was that sometimes they refuse things simply because they dont see it benefitting THEM- and that is something selfish, and shows a lack of respect. Of course if the guy is blowing $$ on an iPad when they're having trouble putting food on the table, thats an issue. My post wasnt centered on these cases. It made the assumption that it could comfortably be afforded, but which the wife doesnt see the value in it for herself, which is the sole reason of the refusal or the demand that it be returned. And Ive seen this on many, many occasions. I know this guy that brings in 6 figures a yr, yes his wife (who brings in nothing) controls the bank account. The guy has no balls, his wife dictates the purchases, buys whatever the hell she pleases, and gets upset when he spends on anything without consulting her. She doesnt let him buy **** he wants, the cost of which is a drop in the bucket compared to the income he makes, simply because SHE doesnt see the value in it. But like I said, the guy has no balls and takes it, while she spends thousands on shoes, etc without needing to consult him.But hey, some people love that ****. Sometimes you need to do things that give you individual pleasure in a marriage, not always 'pleasure as a unit'.
The things you mention here are exactly the things i've seen too. To be honest, it frustrates me to see men behave like that. They should send those guys to boot cam, to let them get back some of their balls.
Men who are in control of women just don't have balls. I think things are going the opposite way. Like women are in revenge for the years they've been in control of men. ANYTHING against women has become social unacceptable, but i think things are going a bit too far now. But hmm, it's probably just a 'trend'...:)

...Actually it's the smug attitude of so many Mac owners that makes them such satisfying targets. You reap what you sow. I've been using Macs since 1984 (and PCs about as long) and Mac users get on my nerves sometimes.
Um, hello?
You've been using Macs since their inception, therefore you are a Mac user, who is according to you a smug and satisfying target.
Maybe, not all Mac users are the same monolithic group.
